THRIVE CHURCH EASTER CELEBRATION PRAYER FOR 2026
Welcome Everyone,
This year, we have so much to praise God, our heavenly Father, for! We have seen many prayers answered and bountiful blessings in our congregation! God is on the move in the hearts of His people. That's why we need to get ready, and the best way to do that is to pray!
Before you begin to Engage with God, find a quiet place where you can be still before the Lord. Browse through the list and let Holy Spirit speak to your heart as He Equips you to do battle. We pray that you will emerge Empowered to stand firm in faith and be conquerors in Jesus’ name, Everywhere!
For we know these truths:
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
James 5:16 “the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much.”
Ephesians 3:16 “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.”
Psalm 50:15 “and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Thank you for taking the time to pray! God honors our praises and hears our prayers. Together, we stand in unity and believe God for good things to come from this act of worship!

Easter Celebration Prayer
PRAISE
To our Heavenly Father who provided the plan of salvation through our Savior Jesus Christ!
To God, who is our Hope in a world of darkness and despair
To God for His continued love and provision
For developing a grateful heart
For new spiritual lives
For God’s continued blessings, favor, and answered prayers
God’s wisdom and blessings over THRIVE Church finances
GENERAL PRAYERS
Pray for God to encourage new friends to serve Him through serve teams, specifically Guest Services and Children’s ministry, where there are immediate needs.
Pray that God will send new folks to Thrive who may need a place to feel loved and accepted.
Pray that God brings those who are in desperate need to know Jesus.
Pray for “Our New Home”, our new building that we can call our own. A place where we can grow and truly minister to the community.
Pray for the faithfulness and continued support of the Building Fund.
Pray that God will use Thrive Church to bring revival to Portsmouth.
Pray that God will continue to bless His faithful servants with encouragement, strength, and health.
Pray for growth in our lives as we learn to trust God in the face of life's challenges and uncertain times.
PRAYERS FOR HEALING
Pray for those who may be battling addictions, emotional stress, or mental illness.
Pray for those who have lost loved ones, are experiencing loneliness, or are depressed.
Pray for those battling cancer and other illnesses, for upcoming surgeries /recoveries
MINISTRY PRAYERS
Children’s Ministry
Continued prayers for Pastor James and Pam, as well as Kim, and the children’s ministry staff, to lead our Children’s Ministry.
Pray that God will bring more children.
Identity 5:17 Teen Ministry
Pray for God to bring more teens.
Pray for God to give pastor Kat and the leaders favor and wisdom as they continue to
minister to the teens.
Pray that God will raise up new young leaders and develop spiritual growth.
Pray for more opportunities for teens to become more involved.
Worship
Praise that God has blessed the worship team with highly talented musicians and singers.
Prayers for God to give Tommy and Cynthia favor and wisdom as they lead and develop music ministry and live worship.
Pray that Holy Spirit moves hearts into true worship.
AVL Ministry
Pray for more people to become interested in AVL.
Pray for God to continue providing funding for the growing need for updated equipment.
Pray for all the technical aspects of Live streaming THRIVE’s services.
Guest Services
Pray for a new interest in serving in guest services.
Outreach
Pray for new opportunities to become a more missional church.
Pray for missions, both local and abroad.
Pray for the Schuring family in Brazil.
THRIVE Groups
Pray for a new interest and desire to join a Thrive Group.
Pray for Pastor Mike and Kim as they continue to lead and develop Thrive groups.
Pray that God will raise up new interns to become Thrive group leaders.
Discipleship
Pray for God to raise new leaders and generate interest in discipling others within Thrive Church.
Pray for people’s hearts to ENGAGE with God, EQUIP them with knowledge to change and deepen their relationship with Him, and EMPOWER them to minister to others EVERWHERE.
